43 TURNIPS FOR THE GARDEN. Carters Jersey Lily Turnip. Carters Jersey Lily (see Photograph).—Most perfect in outline. In shape as round as an orange, of exquisite flavour, with single tap root. Much admired in the Large Gold Medal Exhibit, Shrewsbury, 1912 ... ... 3d. & Carters White Milan.—An exceptionally fine stock; recommended for early work. It is as quick as a Radish, and clean in growth... Carters Little Marvel.—A cross between Early White Milan and Jersey Lily, which is the best type of White Round. It is very distinct in both habit and foliage, and is a splendid table Turnip. This remarkable cross-bred Turnip closely follows the Milan, and is considerably forwarder than Jersey Lily. It must become popular with gardeners for early work, as it is as good as it looks. Included in the Large Gold Medal Collection of Vegetables at Shrewsbury, 1912 ... ... ... ... 3d. & Carters Early Long Forcing.—A new and distinct long Turnip for frame or outdoor work.
