NARCISSUS AND DAFFODILS. 35 y By careful selection Narcissus and Daffodil may be had in bloom from April 1st to end of May in the open ground, and to assist in this respect we have numbered each variety in accordance with the following list:—No. 1, April 1st to 15th; No. 2, through April; No. 3, middle of April to early May, No. 4, early May to middle; No. 5, through May. Some allowance must be made for late planting, ungenerous soils, and exceptional seasons. SECTION I.
