114 THE CONARD & JONES COMPANY, WEST GROVE, PA. N^Jik^ Giant Hybrids New Giant Heliotropes. THKSK beautiful Giant Heliotropes are among the sweetest and loveliest flowers we know, and should have a place in every garden. They are very easily raised, the plants grow about two feet high and bear enormous clusters of exquisitely fragrant flowers fully twice as large as the old kinds and so delightfully sweet that they perfume a whole neighborhood. The colors range from pure white through all shades of violet and fnirple to dark indigo blue. Seed should be started ndoors and transplanted when weather is settled. Packet, 6 cts.; 3 packets for 15 cts. Two New Black Foliage Heliotropes, Egypt and Midnight. Very curious aud interesting, the stems are as black as ink and the foliage so dark as to be almost black., EGYPT—Grows round and bushy, with very dark foliage and rich purple flowers, variegated with white, highly unique. Grows easily from seed and blooms continuously. Very sweet. Packet 4 cts. New Heliotrope, Lemolnes Giant Hybrids. LOBELIA CRYSTAL PALACE GEM-Grows dwarf and compact, rich deep blue flowers. Splendid for edging and borders. Packet 4 cts. LOBELIAS—The Lobelias are charming little plants of regular, compact form, thickly covered with pretty blue and white flowers. The plants grow six io eight inches high, and bloom in four weeks from sowing the seed. Excellent for edging, window boxes, vases, etc. Finest varieties mixed. Packet 3 cts. LEMON VERBENA—Well known and highly prized for its delicious fragrance ; you will find it grows easily from seed sown in the open ground, and is excellent for pot culture. Packet 4 cts. NICOTIANA AFFINIS—A large, handsome, branching plant, two to three feet high, producing a profusion of beautiful pure white, star-shaped flowers on long terminal tubes ; very handsome and attractive, and so exceeds ingly fragrant they perfume the whole neighborhood. Packet 4 cts. DOUBLE DAHLIAS—It is well known that the finest Dahlias are grown from seed sown in the Spring, and give as good or better satisfaction as those grown from roots. Our seed is saved from the finest double named varieties, and will give a great variety of handsome colors and a large proportion of large, perfectly shaped flowers fully equal to the named kinds. Seed started in the house and set out the last of May will be in bloom as soon as plants from roots, and will produce as many fine flowers. Our seed is extensively planted and gives excellent satisfaction. Finest double mixed. Packet 6 cts. NEW STRIPED SINGLE DAHLIAS-Beautiful \a,rge single flowers, many of them four inches across, and displaying a wonderful variety of bright rich colors, beautifully striped, flaked, mottled and dotted in the most charming manner. Packet 6 cts. NEW DWARF TOM THUMB DAHLIA—Elegant little plants, growing only twelve or fifteen inches high, and covered with bloom in less than three months after seed is sown; continues to bloom till cold weather. Flowers very pretty and attractive, white, yellow and rose, banded and variegated in the most unusual way. New and, very desirable. Packet 6 cts. New Dwarf Marigold, Legion of Honor. Recommended as the prettiest Marigold ever introduced ; grows dwarf and compact, the dark green fern-like foliage making a fine background for the bright golden star-like flowers, which are borne so profusely. The flowers are of medium size, rich, golden- yellow, broadly marked with dark crimson brown; blooms abundantly from July until cut down by frost. It is so pretty and so easily raised from seed that every one should give it a trial. Packet i cts, MARIGOLD, (French Double Dwarf)—Low, compact, showy plant, with fine, double flowers of rich and beautiful colors; always make a fine display; much used for borders, edgings, etc. Packet 3 cts. MARIGOLD, ELDORADO—Grows large and bushy; an immense bloomer, a single plant sometimes having from fifty to seventy-five flowers in full bloom at one time; the flowers are from three to four inches in diameter and perfectly double, they include four different shades, primrose, lemon, golden yellow, and deep glowing orange.
