New Floral Guide, Autumn, 1910 33 Roses for Winter Bloom We are large growers and importers of Roses, flowers, seeds and bulbs, but the Rose is our leading specialty. "The Best Roses in America." We grow them by the 100,000's, and in our Spring Guide issued in January, we offer all the newest and choicest varieties in one and two-year and some in three-year sizes. You will find listed in this catalog the kinds we recommend for Autumn planting. (For outdoors see pages 34 and 35 ) On this page we offer the choicest kinds for winter blooming indoors or under glass. And when Winter is over you will find them just the right kind to plant out in your garden for Summer bloom. Cultural directions will be sent on request. Please Remember that these Roses are all strong repotted plants, in best condition to bloom quickly and give plenty of lovely buds and flowers all Winter. But it is better to have them shipped by express, so the earth can be left on the roots. Purchaser pays expressage, unless otherwise arranged; postage is paid by us. A wonderful Rose. (By some sold under the name of Jeanette Heller, also Chas. Dingee.) We gave this Rose the honor place in our catalog last Spring (the front cover). We recommend it with our unqualified endorsement for almost every location. We have yet to hear of a disappointed customer. We also recommend it for Winter bloom indoors. The flowers are large, full and double and most exquisitely formed. The petals are so firm they look like wax, softly curled, colored cream with flesh tint tips, buff yellow base and the center a heart of pink. Perfect buds.
