ROSES FOR OUTDOOR PLANTING—Continued
COLUMBIA
We are very proud of this Rose, our
introduction of 1918, which has proved
itself to be the very finest of the outdoor pink Roses, so far introduced. It
is strong and sturdy in growth, with
landsome foliage which is almost immune to the ravages of black-spot and
mildew. The color is a glowing pink,
and unlike most pink flowers, when it
is fully developed, it is more vivid in
color than in the bud state and
the flowers last longer than
any other variety of any
color, either on the
plants or when cut.
Everyone who grew
this Rose last year
on our recommendation, has been delighted with it; this
has proved to be the
best advertisement
the Rose could possibly have.
"A Rose without
a thorn," almost, as
it is thornless 10 or
12 inches below the
flower and very few
thorns ofi the stem.
Reports from our
custom ers and
friends show that this
variety does equally
well, north, east, south
and west, and will
undoubtedly rank for
any years as the peer
in its color. This is the
finest Rose in the entire
collection and we offer it
in dormant, 3-year-old plants
up to May 1st delivery:
$1.25 per plant,
$12.00 per doz.
