VEGETABLE A XD FLOWER SEEDS, ETC. 27 Pkt. Cts. Southport Early Red Globe, a new variety, and decidedly the finest Onion yet introdnced. Every Onion grower admires the old Southport strains, which always bring an extra price, but are too late to be relied upon to ripen north of Southern New England ; but this new variety can be planted with safety wherever the Danvers will mature. It differs from Early Red Globe in being much rounder and of finer quality. Lb. $3.25, oz. 25c 5 Early Red Globe, very early and of good size ; mild, prolific and keeps well ; lb. $1.75, oz. 15c 5 Large Red Wethersfield, a favorite Onion in the East, where immense crops are grown for shipment. Large-sized, skin deep red ; form round, flat; flesh purplish white. Productive, a fine keeper, and very popnlar for general cultivation ; lb. $2.00, oz. 20c 5 Prize Taker, of enormous globular size, straw colored, and identically the same as the handsome onions sold from crates in the fall of the year in all large cities and towns, and supposed to come from Spain ; flesh pure white and very mild ; a wonderful yielder ; lb. $2.60, oz. 25c 5 Danvers Yellow Globe, an early, very popular eort, of globular form ; mild, fine flavor ana an excellent keeper ; an immense cropper, often going 700 and 800 bushels to the acre ; lb. $2.00, oz. 20c 5 Danvers Yellow, scarcely differing from above except in shape, being somewhat flatter; lb. $1.40, oz. 15c _ 5 Large Yellow Dutch, a standard flat variety, forming bulbs readily ; flesh white and of mild flavor ; good keeper ; lb. $1.40, oz. 15c 5 White Portugal, or American Silver Skin, a fine, large, white Onion, delicate flavor, early, but not a good keeper ; lb. $3,00, oz. 30c 5 White Globe, of a globular form, mild and pleasant flavor, and is one of the best white varieties in cultivation ; lb. $3.00, oz. 30c 5 El Paso, or Large Mexican, a silvery white, flat variety, often growing to the weight of two pounds ; lb. $3,00, oz. 30c 5 C3T" The following are Imported Varieties which cannot be recommended to bottom as well as the American varieties, though most of them ripen up thoroughly and make good hard bulbs. New Queen, very early Onion ; small, flat, white, mild-flavored, and a good keeper ; lb. $1.75, oz. 20c 5 Early White Flat Italian Tripoli, skin pure white; very mild ; of rapid growth: very early ; lb. $1.75, oz. 20c 5 Giant Rocca of Naples, large, globular shape, often weighing two or three pounds apiece ; skin light brown : lb. $1.50, oz. 15c 5
